Poverty level question

I'm 18 and I will be almost 20 by the time my fiancé would be here. Now, I was wondering, since I don't work full time yet but I would just be starting to around the time we would be starting the application, would I need to have a co-sponsor or just myself? When she gets here about a month after she arrives her and I will move to a place together but before that I will be living at home. So I'm not sure if I have to have my parents co-sponsor since for a month I will be living in a house with 5 people including her total of if I would do it for just her and I.

Please fill in your profile including country of origin for the intending immigrant. Some Consulate or Embassies tend not to accept a co-sponsor but in most cases like yours it's good to have one available if needed.

As pushbrk stated, it's very dependent on the Embassy your fiance will be interviewing with. Each one has different standards they use when it comes to the I-134. For instance, in the Phillipines, you can not normally use a co-sponsor for a K-1 visa... in NZ they care more about the beneficiary's ability and desire to work. So, the answer to your question is dependent mostly on which Embassy your fiance will be applying for her K-1 visa with.

In many places, what they will care most about is your present income and if that income will continue. While you do need to place your present employment record on the initial petition, the financial responsibility doesn't often come into play until the interview stage which is often about 6 months after the initial I-129f petition is sent in.
