I decided Sunday to go watch a movie. I've heard rumors that Slumdog millionair is an up and coming East Indian classic. I called a few of my friends and off we went. We decided to not worry about getting there early cause of course we are the only ones going... how wrong we were. The theater was PACKED we had to sit in the second to the front row (which i could hardly notice as i was entranced by the movie).

I just wanted to see if anyone else saw it and your thoughts.

Not a Bollywood movie at all just a Good movie and one I would go back to the theaters to see again

be prepared to laugh, cry, get angry and awed loved it!!!!!

I haven't seen it but heard it was excellent! This movie reviewer on a local DC radio show said it was a 5/5 and he rarely gives a 5/5!!

Canadians Visiting the USA while undergoing the visa process, my free advice:

1) Always tell the TRUTH. never lie to the POE officer

2) Be confident in ur replies

3) keep ur response short and to the point, don't tell ur life story!!

4) look the POE officer in the eye when speaking to them. They are looking for people lieing and have been trained to find them!

5) Pack light! No job resumes with you

6) Bring ties to Canada (letter from employer when ur expected back at work, lease, etc etc)

7) Always be polite, being rude isn't going to get ya anywhere, and could make things worse!!

8) Have a plan in case u do get denied (be polite) It wont harm ur visa application if ur denied, that is if ur polite and didn't lie! Refer to #1

it soooo is a 5/5 but i don't want to get your hopes up too much only to have you dissapointed. I hope more people get a chance to see it. I love it when "smaller" films with no "known" actors gets great reviews... perhaps we can rethink Brad Pitt's and etc. salary and put it to other things of better use.

Alright Rajaa, I'll look into it. I love foreign films. They usually don't have the budgets for big name actors and huge special effects,

so instead, they have to have really good stories.

I've fallen asleep on many Hollywood action movies.

Now Rajaa, if this movie isn't as good as you say it is, you owe me a phone. :)

I am so desperate to see it, but our town isn't even on the list. The nearest screening is an hour away and I don't have the time right now to drive up there. Maybe next week...
