Hello All,

I've been lurking around here for a couple months before signing up.

I have done considerable reading on here about all the problems people face during their immigration process and my hat is off to the overwhelming help and support that is given here.

I know I will be asking many questions, and receiving alot of advice on here, and I hope that the day will come I can return the favor.

thank you,

rujan

Welcome to VJ!

My advice is do not use immigration lawyer. Please take time to read all the guidelines in the USCIS website for better information.

I completely agree. I have an attorney for my K-1, and I wish I had found VJ before I hired her, this website and the information it provides (guides, etc.) and the forums are extremely beneficial during your process.

Visa Journey completed, but we are still here to provide support! :)

Thanks to everyone for the warm welcome.......

I agree about the " no attorney" approach, but my situation is ultra complicated. Not only have an attorney on the job, but also my congressman.

I will post my entire situation in the appropriate area but to give you a quick re-cap....

My wife come here on a K-3 in 04 married to another man, upon arrival he told her he was married to an American woman also....

she left him, moved in with her sister, I met her, got annulment, married her, green card denied, voluntary departure.

Now looking at a 10 year ban.

We didn't know about her needing to leave after the annulment, until it was too late.Neither immigration or our attorney mentioned it, so now we face a big mess.....

3 years of a great marriage come to a quick halt. Now the true test of love begins.
