Ok, in reading the instructions for the DS-230, it asks for birth certificate and divorce decrees.

Is that only for the beneficiary or for the beneficiary and the petitioner?

I did a search for this on the board, but so many pages came up, I could be here for years reading all of them.

Thank you,

Rick & Maddy

It is only for the benificiary. I am divorced but my husband is not. I didn't send any divorce decrees in for the DS-230 and I didn't get any RFEs. Same with birth certificate. They just need the birth certificate for the benificiary.

the requirements listed on DS230 are all addressed to the beneficiary.
