From my understanding I'm not allowed to go to school (for US upgrading courses in Dental Hygiene) until I am also allowed to work with my EAD, is that correct? I will have to wait to take any schooling until I have an EAD?

K-1 Visa:

I-129F Sent : 2007-12-13

I-129F NOA1 : 2007-12-19

I-129F NOA2 : 2008-05-02

NVC Received : 2008-05-20

NVC Left : 2008-05-22

Packet 4 Received : 2008-07-28

Interview Date : 2008-08-26

Visa Received : 2008-08-27

US Entry : 2008-08-27

Marriage : 2008-09-04 Yaay!

Package Sent: 2008-11-21

Package Received: 2008-11-24

NOA's Notice Date: 2008-12-04 (Day 1)

Cheque Cashed: 2008-12-05 (Day 2)

I guess, EAD document won't be enough documents in order to make you study in the states when your adjusting your status. If you want to cpntinue your education wait for your green card. Unless you were under student visa.

Once you get your EAD, you can apply for ssc right? Isn't a ssn enough to enroll in school? That's what I've always understood.

My timeline:

11-20-2008: AOS (I-485 & I-130) Package sent.

11-24-2008: Package received at 1.36pm and signed by JCHYBA.

12-04-2008: AOS Check was cashed!

12-05-2008: I-130 Money Order was cashed!

12-08-2008: Received my 3 NOA's and letter for biometrics

12-19-2008: Received RFE and another letter for biometrics

12-22-2008: Sent response to RFE back

12-26-2008: Biometrics appointment! -canceled due to holidays-

01-02-2009: Response to RFE received and case is resumed

01-13-2009: Second biometrics appointment - DONE YAY!

01-26-2009: APPROVAL of EAD!!!!!! YAYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

02-04-2009: Received EAD card in mail and applied for SSN - Picked up SSN day after!

02-06-2009: Passed written test, got driver's permit!

02-10-2009: Received my SSC

03-20-2009: Interview! - RFE

04-14-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-02-2009: Received our 3rd RFE.

05-11-2009: Brought the requested document to the immigration office.

05-27-2009: Received green card YAY Thank you God

04-04-2011: Sent in I-751 Removal of conditions

07-08-2011: Approved!

07-14-2011: Received Permanent Resident Card! WHOOOOO HOOOO we are done!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thank you GOD!

I already have my SSN-which of course says "not valid for employment" on it.

Hello, you can get a SSN anytime. Just show your visa and i-94 plus your marriage contract. If they already expired, it is better for you to wait your EAD or GC

01/09/2016 - Paid AOS fee and selected agent

01/13/2016 - Reviewed DS-261 over the phone

01/14/2016 - Recieved invoice for IV fee

01/15/2016 - Paid IV fee

01/19/2016 - Mailed financial/supporting documents to NVC

01/20/2016 - Submitted DS-260

01/22/2016 - Email notification from NVC that they received the financial/supporting documents

02/29/2016 - Email checklist from NVC

03/09/2016 - Responded to NVC checklist (mailed)

03/15/2016 - Additional document received by NVC (another 30-45 days wait...ugh!!!!)

04/12/2016 - Case complete...waiting for interview/medical schedule

04/14/2016 - Received email for Mom's interview schedule, 26th of May

04/24/2016 - Registered Online for upcoming Medical exam appointment, May 11, 2016

05/11/2016 - Medical exam. Passed

05/26/2016 - Interview. Under administrative review.

06/09/2016 - Visa Issued

06/15/2016 - Received text notification from 2go for visa delivery

06/17/2016 - Visa received on hand

06/28/2016 - PDOS seminar

07/17/2016 - Mom's flight to USA ???
