Hi everyone,

I have a question,regarding EAD and applying for a job.

Can I apply for a job after sending my EAD application and if yes can I start working letting people know that I am in the process of adjusting my status in the country and approval of EAD?

I want to stay in the legal lines,

12/04/08 Package sent( I-130/I-131/I-485/I-864/I-765/G-325A)
12/05/08 Package delivered in Chicago P.O Box at 2:51 PM
12/12/08 Checks cashed!
12/16/08 4 NOAS received
12/23/08 Biometric's letter received for AOS and EAD
01/06/09 Biometric's appointment done!
01/28/09 RFE sent to me:(
02/07/09 Sent response to RFE back
02/23/09 Received AP document
03/02/09 Received EAD
04/06/09 Received interview date
05/06/09 Interview date @ 10AM in Tampa. Approved!
05/16/09 Welcome to the US letter received
06/22/09 Received Green card in the mail

Hi there.. you can apply and work BUT you have to make sure you can show your employer within 90days that you already have a permit. You also can show them on your first day of work that you already applied for the EAD. ON personal note, I did applied but NEVER GOT the approval until now, well of course I had my GC first within 2months of my application so I didn't need it anymore.

February 14, 2011 Approved petition from the USCIS (Vermont)
March 02, 2011 Received letter from NVC
March 05, 2011 Payment cleared
March 06, 2011 sent the DS3032 via email to NVC
March 09, 2011 received confirmation regarding the Choice of Agent
March 10, 2011 received the IV Fee invoice via email
March 16. 2011 sent check via USPS
March 18, 2011 received e-mail regarding the IV Fee payment and the package for AOS
March 25, 2011 sent the supporting docs for AOS (DS-230 and Civil Docs)

Not true. To start working you must have EAD in hand. What you are citing is if the EAD is lost or stolen, you have 90 days to produce it to an employer.
