I thought about a Red Flags post again last night, and shrugged "What the heck?"...let's try it. Let's try to keep it clean, with no name calling, or picking on physical differences of people involved in the LDR.

I'll start.

1. If your Jamaican SO doesn't know your name, but has already declared his undying love and devotion in the middle of the beach, street, hotel, party, etc. etc. "Yah/Yo sexy baby/girl/lady yuh nice and sweet...nice and petite...fit body gyal yuh juss mi size....strang body gyal mi love yuh babes."

2. If your Jamaican SO tells you that they want to spend the rest of their lives loving you, but upon further discussion of merging countries, he convinces you that as much as they love Jamaica and never want to leave, they are willing to do so just to be with you.

3. If your Jamaican man escorts you around Jamaica upon just meeting you, and he tells all his friends/strangers/bypassers "Ah mi wifey dis!!! Yeah man...Eeehhnn."

BTW...all of my submissions will be humorous...so take it with a grain of salt.

Stop laughing. The third one happened to me all the DYAMN time. The last time, I was walking through town, with an IPOD on loud no less. This guys runs and starts walking next to me. He was content to talk to himself...occasionally look at me like I a willing participant in the conversation. So, I turned the volume down low, pretended that I was still listening to my music, and he was yelling at people to look at him and his new wifey. He was carrying a storage bin of muffins, and thought that if he followed me to my lunch destination, I would pay for his food. He was pissed after he ordered steamed snapper, rice and peas and wan Guiness. I told the waitress...make sure that you place his order on his own tab okay.

4. If you dance more than two songs with the same Jamaican man at a dance, you are now considered his wifey by him and all of his friends. Sometimes, it doesn't even take you agreeing to dance with him, he just danced in the general vicinity of your butt for most of the night. You never knew he was in the crowd, until he follows you out and grabs your hand to escort you from the dance.

Don't tell me that there are only 4 flags....come on yaadies...I'm sure you have some "red flags" to post.
