Mum had her interview on the 21st for a visitor visa and was approved. We were hoping for a 6 months to a 1 yr visa. She collected her passport and they stamped a 10 yr visa. I am just so happy and so is Daniel. We are both so relieved coz she will be here till Daniel comes back home.

Oh wow, that is wonderful news. I love to hear things like this because I know how close to impossible it is to get a tourist visa.

¡Congratulations to you and your family!

Thanks a ton people. It is a relief for both of us that I will not be alone in the house. Specially coz it is getting kind of difficult to do certain things like taking both the dogs out by myself and grocery shopping kills my back also the biggest thing is company and she did raise 2 kids (pretty good too!). Daniel is very happy coz he hated that I was alone and he had even been tracking his response during a disaster (eg, my email or IM) and his average is respond within an hour (pretty good for someone in Iraq  )
