well, there's an option for some. as i said earlier they're closing down 1/3 of de wallen (the famous red light district). there are many more cities in the netherlands than amsterdam, all of which have coffeeshops and prostitution.

although the smoking ban (cigarettes) that's been brought in has meant that some coffeeshops have had to change as it is against the law to smoke cigarettes (as people do over there in joints) inside. i've heard of ones converting into bars and selling the cannabis through a window outside.
