Good thinking. I definitely need a contingency plan.

I read the average Thanksgiving meal is 3000 calories. I'm guessing that doesn't include booze because it sounds awfully low to me! :o

I just plan on eating turkey and veggies...I'm not very fond of all the other stuff traditionally cooked on TG, and I can't stand pumpkin. :dead:

Mags is the anti-christ....

Lady, people aren't chocolates. Do you know what they are mostly? Bastards. ####### coated bastards with ####### filling. But I don't find them half as annoying as I find naive bobble-headed optimists who walk around vomiting sunshine.

I have a tentative plan to run 10 miles on Thanksgiving morning so I can burn off about a third of the calories that I plan to consume later on.

But I'm playing it by ear. :P

If not, you might have to request 2 seats at the Thanksgiving table... :P

Yeah I hate pumpkin too. And sweet potatoes.

This thread has made me shake me head all day. There were some very good points made and I can respect differing views when people are respectful. However, some of the comments here really ticked me off ... calling obese people "fatties" or telling them to put down the cheeseburger. How disrespectful. And the majority of people did not seem to think anything was wrong with using that language. Imagine if we had a thread and used derogatory terms about people with handicaps, i.e. missing limbs, in wheelchairs, etc. Then, people would be angry. But because there is a belief that obese people are simply lazy and shoveling food in by the ton, then it is okay to call them names. ARGH!

I'm not a big fan of sweet potatoes either

If I don't want something I just put it on someone else's plate

Or in someone else's hand.....

HAL 9000 is being threatened to have to shop a Black Friday. HAL 9000 is happy about the workout but not happy of the method.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.
