Instead of the CENMAR, you will need the CENOMAR which is the Certificate of No Marriage. The CENMAR/CENOMAR can be obtained from www.ecensus.com or the nearest NSO serbilis center.

u need a CENOMAR and bring it for ur interview as part of evidence that u r single, never been married. u can get the copy of CENOMAR as easy as birthcertificate at any NSO office.

a friend of mine from here, said CR1 needs to have cenmar, certificate of marriage/marriage index,

If you are married, the CENMAR or certificate of marriage will be needed. Obviously if you are single, the CENOMAR will be used instead. The marriage index is a loose term to name the CENMAR or CENOMAR. What document you need to submit actually depends on your marital status.

And yes if you have a CR-1 priority case, the CENMAR will be needed. Please read the definition below.

An IR-1 (IR stands for "Immediate Relative") visa allows your spouse to immigrate to the U.S. A CR1 Visa (CR stands for "Conditional Residency") will be given to you if your marriage is less than 2 years old. It is conditional for two years.

Since I am assuming that both you have been married only to each other, you CENMAR should read:

Be advised that the search for the name XXXX alleged to have been born on XXXX in XXXX to XXXX and XXXX yielded one (1) most likely match(es) in our Natinocal Indeces of Marriages.

Date of Marriage: XXXX

Place of Marriage: XXXX

Name of Bride/Groom: XXXX

This certication is based on the records of 1945-2008 marriages enrolled in the database as of October, 2008.

Issued upon the request of XXXX for Passport/Travel

Since the document verification (DV) of NSO records has been waived starting October 2008, the recent applicants have been asked for the CENMAR/CENOMAR.

Consider yourself lucky as you will be asked for the CENMAR so I strongly suggest you get yours ASAP

Just for your info, the DV takes 6 weeks to process and another 4 weeks or so for the CO to review the case. I have been waiting for 9 weeks since my interview and I still haven't received my visa due to the case backlogs. You may even receive yours in less than a week.

CENOMAR- Certificate of NO Marriage- only needed when one is being petitioned as a fiancee or if previously married No CENOMAR is needed but the Certificate of Marriage with the annotation of its dissolution ( Anullment ). Either one is a requirement to prove capacity to enter into marriage with the petitioning fiance

If one is being petitioned as a spouse, then the best proof of the relationship is the Certificate of Marriage between the parties.

Removal of Conditions :

August 16, 2010 - Petition received by USCIS Vermont Center

August 20, 2010 - NOA1 received

October 4, 2010 - Biometrics

January 3, 2011 - Permanent 10 yr. Green Card Received.

PS.

i ask the Teller of the metrobank if they receive payments for DV, they said no. So it means DV is totally gone.

just make sure you have all NSO docs (BC,MC, CENMAR) and other required docs as well. I believe NBI clearance is also required. So I suggest you also get a new clearance. Good luck in your interview. :)
