Question about SSN ID philippines

Question from my friend.

Do you think the SSS in Manila can issue SSS ID to my friend, even if her membership is no longer active in SSS? Her last contibution is 11 years ago...

I am trying to bring her overseas but she is having difficulties of getting a passport. Getting SSS ID will help acquire passport.

Any advise will be highly appreciated.

My filipina wife says the number is good for lifetime. Should be able to get a card at her local office.

i also read if she comes here permantly she can withdraw the money that is in her sss account but has to be done before you leave phils good luck

Yes, they can give an ID even she didn't contribute for how many years as long she has a SS number. She can use her SS number for a lifetime. She needs to present an E1 to the SSS so that you she can fill-up the form for an ID.
