Who cares. There's a bunch of religious people who don't go to church, and there's also religious people who DO go to church who like to have gay sex with male prostitutes. Obviously there isn't one better than the other.

you come up with strange things to say

Just pointing out the irony here. Bottom line is, going to church or not isn't a measure of religious devotion.

Actually, I've found that those who don't go to church tend to be more "Christ-like" and better ambassadors for their religion than those who fervently attend church.

lol

One thing that is surely consistent is those who preach the most and are the most religiously aggressive (church or not) are the ones with the most issues, and, I find, quite a few skeletons in their closet.

Agreed. Those who speak the most and loudest know the least. Those who most desire to lead are the least qualified to do so. Those who claim the most wealth/power/attractiveness have the least.

I thought that was you and A.J. that speak the most and loudest...:devil: stop confusing people!

No, I speak the "rudest". As for speaking the most.... look at my join date and look at my hearts. I barely post compared to a lot of people.

It didn't change me so I guess that art sucks

I can't stand Picasso. Or rather, I can't stand abstract stuff. I like a nice bowl of fruit, a nice mountain view, a nice naked chick with fat kids with wings running around her.....

I would have thought you were a fan of Klimt.

Religion doesn't require church.

I don't care what religion he is as long as he doesn't parade it around now that he's Prez and he doesn't waste time with church that could better be used solving our many problems. Gym-time is indirectly related to solving those problems.

Plus the gym is literally a 2 minute drive from his house.

Besides, I came here looking for the typical he don't go to Christian church because he's really a Muslim idiot response.

Who cares. There's a bunch of religious people who don't go to church, and there's also religious people who DO go to church who like to have gay sex with male prostitutes. Obviously there isn't one better than the other.

This is rooted in truth. Well said.

I go to mass pretty much every single Sunday and my husband...the non-Catholic, non-religious dude, plays bass in the choir. But some days I am grading or don't feel well, and I just choose not to go. Once...it was probably 2 full months of Sundays (in a row) that I didn't go to church.

You know what happened when I went back? The priest and some of my friends said "Hey, we missed you." That was it. No one made me feel bad because I didn't go to church.

I'd rather have someone in office who isn't just going to church because people expect and is therefore a big hypocrite, than the guy who attends church religiously (Bush, Clinton, etc) for show, yet acts in ways that contradict that faith.

Sinner!!!

In the big picture, how important is this, really?

Not at all. Some folks are just busy going out of their way to prophesize Obama's administration even though he isn't President yet.

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Did he attend church before he won? I don't care either way.
As I read it, he was somewhat more than a "C&E" (but way short of "bad-penny") attender for 20 years.

And it might be hard when you are way too popular to go to church, but going to a gym where things are arranged so you can be protected is different. How is he going to handle the church thing anymore anyway, if he really wanted to go?
That's a path worn enough to be a superhighway by now.
