in uk we have a national insurance number, so we can pay to the government so we have a state pension in the future, etc. no contribution = no state pension and you must furnish this if you want to work. i think its the equivilent of the usa ssn.

well i thought thats hat they wanted in # 14 national identification number if any. however it wont accept it because it has letters in it as well as numbers and adobe is aying numbers only so what do i do. i have a feeling the letters are important to get the correct person, i dont know if the numbers would work on their own.

i found one other thread simular to mine but they were told to furnish it if its like a state id, does this count as a state id?

oh i hate forms :(

sorry guys and thanks

I saw this too. I left it blank. Maybe it's a number you only get if you are a UK citizen by something other than birth?? Well anyway, I don't have a number that fits so I figure I don't have that number at all! They really should send out detailed instruction sheets with these things! Good luck :-)

NHS number doesn't go in that blank. You don't have a national id in the UK Nick says.
