Jeff, a.k.a. "Monkey", was another driver that I worked with. He was found dead in his truck this morning in Bloomington, Indiana. He was a legend in this company for numerous reasons. They had fired him at least 8 times. After a little while he would come back, hat in hand, and they would bring him back on. He was a Vietnam Vet and a proud Grand Father.

Me and two other drivers were talking about him last night. A few years ago he went to the office to pick up a trailer. He hooked up to it in front of the main supervisor. As he went to pull away the trailer came off of the truck and crashed to the ground!

Here's to you Monkey. You were a he!! of a guy. (F)

To Jeff: May the highways in heaven be free of stop lights and slow drivers. You will obviously be missed.

Thanks for the replies. No one knows what the cause of death was yet. He will be missed. He was one of a handful that I have met out here that I genuinely liked. Evidently he got the nickname Monkey because of a near miss with the VC when he was in Vietnam. He took off through the trees like a monkey when they were ambushed I think.
