Good Morning All! First thing I hope everyone had a wonderful Thanksgiving!! I know we did and had a great reason to be Thankful this year!

Just want to update on our experience on taking the court order to immigration in Sacramento to get my husbands greencard. So we made a appointment for last Monday morning, our number was called and we went to the window (I just have to say Officer Miller was WONDERFUL). After giving her the court order she explained it would take a bit for them to get the information together so that they could issue the I-551 stamp. So back to sitting and waiting we went. After about 45 minutes she called us back up to the window and explained they were waiting for the file they needed to be faxed from San Francisco and told us that we should go have lunch and then come back around 1pm. (Our appointment was at 9am) So with that we were off to lunch. When we returned we were told that they (The court in San Francisco) couldn't find our report and that it could take a few days for them to get the info to Immigration (Go figure we have a court order telling them that we can have it and they still wont give it to us). SO the office took our information and told us that she would call when it came it (which could have been anytime) So we were off on our way back home! (Its about a 2 hour drive for us to Sacramento).

My husband was very upset as he needed the stamp to get him back to work because his EAD expired during the 30 day appeal window! So we got home and made a appointment for Friday but Thank good the immigration officer called the next morning at 8am saying they received the information so it was back to Sacramento for another fun filled day! After arriving it only took them about 45 minutes get everything in order and Finally we walked out of immigration with GOOD news!! He received the I-551 stamp!! HE's Finally LEGAL!!!

Also one other thing we thought we were getting 10 year but we missed the 2 years by 2 days! Meaning the court date that the card was order was OCtober 22 and our 2 year anniversary is the 24th of October. But with everything we have been through we are just thankful that we received the conditional.

I really hope our experience can help someone else down the long road to immigration because I know this forum really helped us our both with information and moral support. Its always great to be able to talk to someone who knows where your coming from. Great Group!!! Take care and I hope everyone has a great Holiday Season!!
