Sent off the paperwork to Vermont on 10/24/2008, but as of this date, 11/23/2008, I haven't heard a dicky bird even though the USPS shows it as being delivered. The check hasn't been cashed and the USCIS web site shows processing for the I-751 stuck back in December of 2007.

What kind of time frame can I expect?

you should have got the I-797c extension letter by now. Also should get the biometrics appointment in 30 days from receipt notice. Better try and call especially since nyour check hasn't been cashed.

As others have mentioned, give them a call at the 1-800 number at the USCIS website, you should have received a NOA or at least your checks should have been cashed. In regards to the timeframe for approval, at the moments is taking around 11 or 12 months in Vermont

Same for me. Sent I-751 11/5 rec at VSC 11/7. No check cashed yet. What number should we call and is all we need is the A# for a reference?

Call the USCIS 800 number. And yes! They will ask for you A#.

OK, I called the 800 number (375 5283) and was immediately picked up (impressive!) I was then transferred to another customer service rep. who informed me that they just received the package (???). It has taken 30 days to get from the mail room to an individual case officer (not so impressive). So thankfully, they do have it.

I don't like the last post though where the 11 to 12 months process time was mentioned. Does that mean we have to get another permission to travel if we want to head out of the country ?

I called today and was told that they could not give any information until after 30 days from the date I sent in the I-751. On the 31st day I could call and inquire about the status if I havent received anything. So I guess I have to wait until December 5
