Travelling with expired GC and I751 case pending

I am travelling out of the country for 2 weeks. I my case is STILL pending, my question is what do I need to take with me? I am under the impression that I need my expired greencard and NOA letter. IS this correct? I think this is the right letter I have here - It is my NOA to say my check for the fee was received and in the fine print it says 'your resident status is extended for one year' but it does not list dates. I did my biometrics months ago.

Yes that is the right letter. All you need is that letter and your expired Greencard and your passport.

Yeah your expired green card and NOA should be enough, I recently travelled to Canada without much of a hassle. I would say be always prepared to explain your situation since I had to explain mine to both Canadian and US Immigration officers. The US Immigration officer also ended up asking for my drivers license.

You can also get a stamp on your passport if you want but they will take your expired green card and keep it with them.

I travelled to Mexico with expired GC and "extension letter" and had no problems at all.

Yep that is the letter. My husband travelled on that letter and his expired greencard. Like someone else mentioned be prepared to explain your status as the officer you get might not have dealt with it before. My husband had to explain but after his short explanation they were satisfied. Good luck and have a safe trip.
