hi vj people.

do i need to bring my fiance's birth certificate to my K1 interview?

i only have his divorce decree and affidavit of support, photocopies of his passport and his philippine entry stamp... and all other evidence documents (pics, emails, phonecall records, chat archives, etc).

so far, i think its all good... but just wondering if i need a copy of his birth certificate for the the coming interview.

all help will be greatly appreciated. thank you so much.

04-16-08 - NOA1

06-11-08 - RFE on uscis website

08-12-08 - fiance started calling uscis every week cos he never got the RFE in the mail, requested for a new one

08-13-08 - touched

09-19-08 - touched

09-24-08 - touched

10-15-08 - new RFE finally in the mail (after hundreds of calls to uscis)

10-28-08 - fiance sent back RFE documents

10-31-08 - touched

11-04-08 - RFE reply recieved

11-05-08 - touched

11-10-08 - APPROVED (on uscis website)

11-13-08 - touched

11-17-08 - NOA2

11-24-08 - consulate received

12-15-08 - day 1 medical exam at SLEC

When i had my interview i wasnt asked for the birth certificate of my fiance but i brought it with me to be sure.It wont hurt if you'll bring it with you,also you wont know if it'll be asked or not.The more ammos the better :)

My wife only took copy of my passport to her interview.

4/07 Mailed AOS Package

4/08 Package received

4/14 Cashed Check/

4/18 Biometrics I-485

4/29 Biometrics done

5/02 CSC Transferred

5/05 I-485 Touched (This case is now pending at the office to which it was transferred)(30 days)

5/12 I-485 Touched

5/15 EAD Card Production Ordered and AP Approval notice sent

5/18 EAD/AP Touched

5/20 Touched

5/21 AP Received by Mail (44days)

5/22 EAD Received by Mail (45days)

6/25 GC card production ordered!

Here are the needed documents that you need to bring during the interview.

Tagalog instruction for k1 and K2 visa: http://manila.usembassy.gov/wwwfk1tg.pdf

I think, you only need your BC not your petitioner's BC, your passport and not your petitioner's passport. :star:
