Hello all,

I have been working in the US for the last two years in a H1B visa and was laid-off last month.

I got married to my boyfriend last week and we intend to file for AOS next week. I am concerned with the sponsor issue - my now husband was in (an expensive) college for the last 4 years, sponsored by his parents. He graduated in May and in June he got a job. He has not filled tax returns for this year or the previous two years.

My main question is: is a letter from his employer stating his salary enough to file a AOS petition as my sponsor? (He makes way more than the required poverty line)

Another questions:

- I am unemployed for a month now, so I believe the income I got in the last two years won't really count...

- I don't want to get a friend to co-sponsor me, not if he's current job is enough to prove he can be my sponsor.

- Is there any other document we can get that can help me with this petition?

Thanks in advance for your answers.
