Hi

I have not written in a long time because I have been so frustrated. But here it goes- reality has finally kicked in...

After my Husbands interview in Costa Rica they told him he was approved and to to come and pick up his visa the next day. We were so Happy and thats when I wrote on this thread jumping for joy about his approval. But......

After he walked out of the building he got a God Forsaken phone call from the incompetents at the Embassy, they had the nerve to tell him that he could not go pick up his visa the next day because they had to do a NAME CLEARANCE. And that it could take weeks, months and sometimes worse.

So, we are still waiting and I am almost 9 months pregnant, I'm just glad I did not buy the airplane ticket for my Hubby to come home.

Has anyone had a similar experience?

09-15-2008: NVC RECEIVED THE DS 3032

09-18-2008: IV BILL PAID

09-22-2008: IV FEE BiLL CLEARED

09-23-2008: AOS SUBMITTED BY MAIL (OVERNIGHT)

09-23-2008: DS 230 SUBMITTED BY MAIL (OVERNIGHT)

09-24-2008: AOS and DS 230 RECEIVED AT NVC

09-30-2008: DS 230 RFE

10-01-2008: SENT CORRECTED DS 230 RFE TO NVC (OVERNIGHT)

10-02-2008: CORRECTED DS 230 RECEIVED BY NVC

10-07-2008: CASE COMPLETE!!!

most of in MENA get more checks and clearances after interview, not sure of other places, but nothing new i think

did u contact embassy .... or he can call them and ask . really i'm sorry to hear that . but u need some work to find out ,,,, and i want to know what NAME CLEARANCE mean ? ........ good luck
