hi everyone! :star:

Just want to know from you guys if moving to another house/new address will affect the K1 while on process? My fiancee hasnt move but in the middle of the process-he might be able to find a suitable one. He also wants to move forward with the K1 process and not wait while at the same time scouting for a new place. Will it affect such as slows down the process or worst questions his financial stability by moving to a new home? He has currently a house on mortgage but since his divorce 3 years ago- he re-finance (he said he should have been smarter back then and sold it and split half-half  ) it and his mortage fee rose up & the thought of me eventually moving in with him, he wants to find one more reasonable so we live more comfortably than he can afford now. Note that he meets the current financial requirement to petition finacee- only he worries that down the road it will affect the process his plan of changing house. Pls. share us your opinion. thank you so much. :star:

You don't have to worry about housing. The process is ONLY concerned that your I-134 Support financials show enough income to support your petition. If you move, you must go online to the USCIS website and do a change of address. Then any messages or requests for information will go to your new address. I did this last week and I called them and they told me it took 45 days to complete a change of address, which is crazy and NOT true. Just make sure your post office forwards any mail and you will be ok. Don't worry about your housing or whatever you do, its not an issue, UNLESS you are listing the house as an asset to cover a low yearly income, then you would have to have the same asset to make up the income shortage, but as long as you are over the income threshold on your I-134 paperwork, you are ok to go. I learned all of this here in the past year, so search the site and many questions wil be answered
