Frustrated

I am little frustrated. I need to pay my phone bill today. I call my husband to get the card number so I can do the automatic bill pay from my phone. I told him about this for WEEKS. I just called him and said I needed the number. He asked how much and when I told him he freaked out! "Are we always going to live this way?" "Does all my money go to the bills?" "What am I supposed to do?" Then he hung up and he will not answer my calls.

If I don't get this paid our phones get turned off and you know whos fault it will be?.... mine. And the connection charge will be my fault too.

I AM SO MAD! He ALWAYS Does this. The whole country is in bad times now not just us. And I'm going to school and working whenever I have the car. Pls I've applied for jobs within walking distance of the apartment (but with a serial rapist on the prowel since June it's scary to walk at night by yourself. I am trying to do everything I can but it's just not good enough.

Recently I've been thinking (a lot) and I really don't know if this marriage has the ability to last. We love each other, but the rest of it is not falling into place. I don't know if it's just temporary. But now when I try to imagine our lives together.... I can't. What should I do?

"Does all my money go to the bills?"

Yes, deal with it.

Seriously though. Yes, it's a big culture shock.

If your phone gets turned off, it's not your "fault".

Life sucks. It's funny how it sucks everywhere, even in the U.S.

Good luck to you, I don't think there's any easy answer here. Either he'll come around or he won't. It's pretty much a matter of whether or not you have the patience to wait until he does.

I think this is the bottomline.

What kind of expectations did he have before coming? Did he not realize that most of everyones money goes to bills, or did he have other ideas and plans?

Good luck leyla, I hope you guys can get through this rough time

Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

I wish I had better advice. Been there. I just can agree with Jenn. He may come around eventually, but he may not. Its up to you to see how long you are willing to put up with that (and everything else you're going through). No one else can tell you when to give up or not. *big hugs

Thanks for the warm fuzzies everyone.

It scares me to think I could have made a mistake. It's so strange how you can feel the love connection between you and someone else but it just seems like the rest of it will not fall into place. :( I pray to God this all works out.

Warm fuzzy:

Thanks Sheherazade. (Whats your real name?)

I need to feel better... It sucks cause I don't really have a lot of people I can talk to

I'm just going to make some tea and watch a kid movie or something. Something light hearted.

Dont know if you paid the bill yet or not, but try telling him that as soon as you pay this bill, you will research a way to find how to make your bill lower... that will get him thinking *hopefully, that next month will be cheaper. Then remind him you need the card to pay it so then you can start figuring how what to do for next month

He sounds really immature. Divorce isn't necessarily a bad thing. One of my best friends was twice divorced because she didn't like that she was expected to do all the household chores even though she worked full-time too. She still remained best friends with both of her exes. Sometimes love is not all you need. You need responsibility, maturity, equality, respect, cooperation, etc.
