Today 11/21/2008 I checked our status on the site we got touched again from yesterday recent touched, it says " Request for Additional Evidence sent" nothing in details, i understand the RFE notice will be mailed to us or we can just call the CIS. So does anyone have similar situation like ours?

nobody will know what the RFE is about... you will have to wait for the letter

Same case as ours. Just wait for the RFE letter. The USCIS call representative don't have any idea of what is your RFE. They only know that an RFE was sent to you. Expect the RFE letter to arrive 4-5 working days.

If you get a simple, easy-to-comply RFE, I suggest you send your RFE reply overnight at USPS. After your RFE reply, your case will be processed even faster but it would still depend on what is your RFE all about. Don't worry. Think positive.

Eternally destined,

As stated - you'll have to wait (for the notice) and see. (Am sure you're anxious to find out, but it won't take long to get.)

I got an RFE. It took 6 days for me to get from date on the rfe notice. On the uscis website it still shows as pending no touches or rfe sent update there. Its all backwards with vsc. Hang in there hopefully its a simple one, unlike mine who knows what will happen. No one to blame but me, I should have know better. :(

My RFE took 3 days to arrive in the mail. I didn't even notice it on the website until after I got the hard copy. Lucky it was an easy request. I had forgotten to include an ancient divorce document (that marriage was so great that I forgot I was ever married to the jerk! :jest: ) so I fortunately had saved copies and an original and got them into the overnight mail in just 2 days (original and copy to my hubby for his interview and a copy with the blue original RFE to the CA service center).

The USCIS website says they sent me a RFE on Nov 18 and touched on Nov 19. So far no RFE hard copy in the mail. The first RFE I received had an expiration date exactly 30 days from the date they mailed it to me. I sent them the reply for that one on Nov 10 and the USPS tracking confirmed it arrived at the CA Service Center. But it has already been 11 days without the RFE arriving and if it expires before it arrives what do I do?

Let us know what they ask for, when you get the letter.

Best of luck!

My husband already got the RFE mail & the request were in 3 things:

1.) Husband's passport size picture need replacement since the one he submitted was in blue background it

must be in a white or off white background.

2). Additional 2 copies of my ex husband's Death Cert. (ANYONE COULD TELL ME, IF A PHOTOCOPY IS OK

TO SEND OR I NEED TO SEND VERIFIED/AUTHENTICATED COPY FROM THE NATIONAL STATISTICS

OFFICE FROM HERE IN PHILS.(need to send it thru Fed EX) takes a over week before my husband can

send the response to Vermont. If a photocopy only will save time & money.

3.)Need to submit certified copy of court & police record showing charges & disposition of conviction. This is

required even if your record were sealed or otherwise cleared.

>This is in connection with my husband's misdemeanor (less offense) committed from a domestic

violence many yrs ago.(he had fight wt brother, had undergone angry management class & was

cleared).

NOTHING FALLOWS

Will SEND our response as soon as we can complete the requested document. At this point in time we are still hangin' here. We could have been approve if not for this RFE. I hope approval will fallow soon. Good luck to our journey. Need some of your comments my VJ friends.
