IR1 - Stuck in Montreal Embassy

I had my IR1 visa interview in Montreal on October 1st 2008. Due to NVC delay in mailing my interview letter, I could not get my medicals done on time. The Panel Physicians gave me a medical waiver for the interview. The interview went fine, the officer signed off on everything pending medical results. The officer asked me to mail the medicals when it gets ready. When I asked him, how long it will take after I submit the medicals. He said 2 weeks.

I mailed my medicals and it was delivered at the embassy on 23rd October. It’s been 4 weeks now, and I am still waiting to hear from Montreal. I mailed twice, both the time, I got standard response "We are currently reviewing your case" and nothing more. I am so worried about this delay. My husband has been contacting his Senator's office to see if they can help us out. Other than that we don't know what to do.

I am currently 5 months pregnant and its been tough on both of us to be alone and not be for each other.

I would greatly appreciate if any one could help me what I can do to get in touch with Montreal embassy to find what's going on with my application. I would also appreciate if any one could share their experience with Montreal in a situation similar to mine, so that I will get an idea what to expect.

Thanks.
