is just me, or this week is very slow, and is getting slower? sorry, just frustration typed out loud. have a lovely week everyone. i know, out of topic, but this is the only topic spinning in my head. approvals or no approvals. to be or not to be approved.

To be honest, they are cranking out approvals faster than before. I didn't expect any K3 approvals this week, but so far we have 2-3 on VJ. Holiday spirit at work? God knows..

It also explains why people with early I-130's (like February) but a late I-129F (like June) seem to be getting approved ahead of someone like me, with March 28 I-130, but an April 4 I-129F

i haven't seen not even one approval of someone that has an early I-130 and a late I-129F. so far i have seen people that applied wayyyy after i did for the i-130 but filed the i-129f right after and are getting approved!

From what I have always understood, the approvals are supposed to happen based on the I-130 date, not the I-129F for K-3. My time line for example. I think someone at USCIS confirmed this to a VJ member.

I was told that if the I-129F and I-130 petitions are connected then it depends on which priority date comes current first. If the I-129F priority date comes current first (I-129F are usually processed quicker) then both petitions will be processed with the priority date of the I-129F. Sometimes the petitions are never connected but usually they are at least connected when the first petition is processed if not sooner.
