so did anyone actually make it to one of the screenings?

James and I got to Charlotte tonight and I gotta say, its nice to watch the movie with 100 other likely inclined fans, rather than just a cinema full of people who are "what's this about again?"

We got there too late to scoop up a t-shirt or Jayne hat (someone knitted a bunch of sherpa like hats, like the one that Jayne's mother sent him in one of the episodes. The T-shirts were sent by the organizers, and they only sent 7 I'm sure they could have sold 100 or more. There was only 100 people attended, but others did pre-purchase tickets and didn't show up. Probably the weather, we had some pretty good storms around here today. I did get a few of the freebie rubber bracelts tho, black & red ones for Equality Now.

Well, it was fun and I hope maybe it'll become an annual event.

So far with only 12 screenings reported in their $$ tallies, there's $14,852.46 (Est.) being sent to Equality Now, the charity that was benefitting from the events.

Recently watched every episode of Firefly and then the movie Serenity. Really good story telling. I'm so sad that it's over for the series.

oh yeah, I forgot to mention...in honour of "Serenity Day" I did order Firefly the series from amazon tonight after we got home. I've looked for it in stores whenever we've been out (which is not often ) but hadn't ever seen it.

dang...I should have ordered Angel season 5 too... oh well...something for hubby to get me for my birthday
