it's from a very popular joint called the penguin.. it's close to my place, in the old area of Charlotte.. they sell burgers (with chili and slaw of course) bbq sandwiches, and their famous fried pickles.. of course lots of beer too..

Crab cakes, or steamed crabs with silver queen and lots of cold beer. And Oysters (fried, or oyster stew).

And a nice greasey cheesesteak when bombed to help avoid a hangover----or at least lessen it.

mangoes. I could live off those.

I could too, but only the Indian/Nepali ones. Add some Bhaktapur dahi(yogurt) and some beaten rice (chiura) and that was my daily breakfast in Nepal.

I miss it...... :(

Are those the smaller yellow mangoes Pattu?

Yes, they are smaller and sweeter than the ones I grew up with in Hawaii and the ones I have had from Haiti or Mexico, and yes more yellow than red.

When I came through customs with 2 70lb bags and 2 carryons the only question I was asked by the officer was if I had any mangoes... I can see why people would try to smuggle them, they are reeeeeeally delish!!!!
