mangoes. I could live off those.

I could too, but only the Indian/Nepali ones. Add some Bhaktapur dahi(yogurt) and some beaten rice (chiura) and that was my daily breakfast in Nepal.

I miss it...... :(

that sounds so good. :)

I enjoy a lot of foods, but I get truly happy about foods I don't get to eat that often:

I get super excited and happy whenever I visit my family in CT and get to eat New Haven white clam pizza.

I miss living in California and eating yummy Mexican food. Northern New Hampshire is not known for its Mexican cuisine. I worked in a small town in CA called Lamont. I loved the shrimp burritos, fish tacos and lengua tacos at this little joint called La Mina. And even better was when the little old Mexican ladies would come around to my office selling plates of chile verde .... that was pure heaven! Oh yeah, and tres leches cake .... mmmmm!

Love visiting hubby's family in Vancouver. There is a great hole-in-the-wall place that serves shawarma. And donairs are a must.

Timeline: 13 month long journey from filing to visa in hand

If you were lucky and got an approval and reunion with your loved one rather quickly; Please refrain from telling people who waited 6+ months just to get out of a service center to "chill out" or to "stop whining" It's insensitive, and unecessary. Once you walk a mile in their shoes you will understand and be heard.

Thanks!

Wishing you ten-fold that which you wish upon all others.

Wow, that does look really good in a wrong way. I haven't eaten anything like that in awhile. I can't do it, just can't. I will at some point!! Maybe I will dream about burgers now. And now my stomach is growling too. :crying:
