i hope you receive an email today! :)

Thank you - all positive thoughts are VERY much appreciated!!!!

i tried to send you a message but it appears you don't accept them, hehe. :o

OOPS! guess I need to check my settings! LOL

Update!

Called the local Senators office today and feeling a little relieved, they are checking into it for me! Said was not normal for the consulate to lag like they have, and it "probably" does have something to do with the background check from his years in another country. But that should have been answered back in August! Anywho - I will hopefully have answers in the next couple of days!!!!

Now maybe I can relax a little and enjoy my son's homecoming tomorrow!!!! Just back from 6 months in Iraq!

Rec'd the response email from the Consulate this morning! It took 10 days (not the 3-4 they tell you).

And bless his heart, my love sent the RFE regular post :o - The Embassy has no record of having received it!!!

Resending information today - SPECIAL DELIVERY.

Don't know if calling the reps office helped, but it sure didn't hurt!

Back into processing YEAH!

Got another question!

Has anyone else had to wait for the consulate to get a police certificate from the Netherlands? And if so, how long after the Consulate receives it did you have to wait for the golden"Packet 4" interview letter?

I have found several old threads whereas the time it takes to get the response back from the Dutch is 15 days or 2 weeks - but can't find any threads or timelines regarding when the interview was scheduled! I know patience, but darn - how much do I gotta have!

i was wondering, when they ask you for the dates you've visited the states do you need to know the exact dates? i've been there 5 times, i can remember the months but the exact dates aren't so easy to remember.

You should have stamped entry dates in your passport!

unfortunately you are!

did you keep the ticket stubs or itineraries? as part of the "ongoing relationship" proof?

The customs people on my side stamped my re-entry dates, they stopped doing that this year and I had to ask for it as I couldn't remember either!

And if you can remember the months - you are doing good!

I sent my love a list made from the passport pages - as I have made 7 trips over there in the last two years! No fear of flying here!

i kept all of the itineraries and have most of the boarding passes but not all of them. we have plenty of phone bills and pictures though.

7 trips, wow that's a lot! soon to be 8 trips? ;)

Your Itineraries will have your return dates for you to study (LOL!)

I was digging through OLD posts las night and came across quite a few that said during the interview they are not so concerned with "Proof" of ongoing relationship as they are the support affid. So keep your "proof" with you but study his affidavit even more, i.e., what is his job title, how long he has been there etc.

Also found quite a few that mention POE at JFK is the way to go as they will give the temp EAD stamp at customs - good until the I 94 expires. Don't know if this is important to you, but worth mentioning!

And I'm still praying for a mircle, that he will get an interview this month - but failing that -yep I will be on my 8th flight! Weather permitting! It's just so darn cold on the coast over there!!!! Ever been to Wells-Next-the-Sea? Pretty little village with beautiful beaches, but winter is bitter cold there!
