hello everyone,

My wife is focusing to pass the nursing board so I'm the only one working. We live with my mom (mom is also working), with this in mind how can i prove my wife wont be a public charge.... Me and my wife is young (she's 26 and I am 24), we dont have much save up just $1600 in our joint savings.

You only need to prove that the sponsor earns 125% of poverty level income with the I-864 and supporting documents. This is done by IRS Tax returns, letter from employer, check stubs, etc. If you are the sponsor with no other dependants than your wife, then an income of $17,500 is needed. If you do not meet the 125% of poverty income then a co-sponsor may be needed.

If you make more than 125% of the poverty limit and have done so for a while, there shouldn't be a problem.
