see i knew i could find someone somewhere with info... but the deal is my husband is very "protective" and going in and having "it" waxed is not an option so ... what is the best one at home?

that's *why* you go to a WOMAN. I cannot recommend one for home, so if he has issue w/ it, he should get trained and do it for you. :star:

eta: it's only partially about the product, it's mostly about the proper application and proper removal... only my 17+ years of professional advice.

That sounds romantic in a kinda kinky way!:devil:

Maybe my hubby needs to go to Noura's waxing school....:P

Sugar wax does not only hurt when you remove it but it hurts when it's applied too!!!

Rajaa...in ME/NA they have women that specialize in this do it for others, its very common. I don't know why it would make your husband uncomfy.

I have tried doing it at home by myself, I applied it..screamed. Took me 5 min to muster up the courage to remove it. I screamed. Then I went to a salon.

My aunt also did it for me once and she did do the whole thing. It took about 1 hour. In the salon, it takes 15 min. In the salon you experiance about 1/4 of the pain that you would at home.

VJ Hours - I am available M-F from 10am - 5pm PST. I will occasionaly put in some OT for a fairly good poo slinging thread or a donut.

Amen, Noura. My gal in Argentina, who I swore by, had been doing this for 20+ years. Experience means everything. Especially when you can burn your hoohaa off.

Ummm, one other thing...why does he have to know that you're going??? Girl, he'll appreciate the results and you'll appreciate being relatively pain free.:thumbs:

Rajaa, one other thing...the MENA chicks that have been doing this, have been doing it forever! They have experience making the stuff, applying it, pulling it off...they know what the hell is up. I do not suggest you even think about trying this no matter how much you love the culture. It is some serious stuff. I deal with burnt sugar all the time...I use it to make flan. It is no laughing matter and if not worked with properly can actually rip off skin. Take my word for it, my husband did something stupid when I made flan one time - he swiped his finger through the sugar as I was pouring it in the bowl. It burned so bad that he tried to shake it off, and it caught his face...he actually took millimeters of skin off his face. It was awful. Even his mother was shocked about this...she admonished him saying that he knew what burnt sugar was like. So, when you don't have to do this...don't.

I just say, pay the few dollars and find a professional you can trust, who is clean and works with good wax.

Agreed! Go to a woman if you insist on waxing. If your husband refuses... well.... like Noura said, send him to school! LOL

Or let him accept you au natural.....
