What does being a good engineer have to do with driving a 13 speed?

I am implying that our dear friend Neils is not a good engineer and may want to consider a job in the trucking industry. It is all in jest obviously.

ROFL.

Well,

ENGINEERS AND DOCTORS (MEDICINE) ARE STILL NEEDED!

Not electronic engineers, was great when Chicago was the electronic capital of the world, can't even find a Radio Shack there today. And let's say that the Asians are a very racists people when it comes to hiring a white engineer. I had to fall back on my FAA certification, not very many people that have knowledge or certification in this line of work. One of my sons learned Japanese, went to Japan, an ace at video games and great at English for the US market, but the lowest rung on the ladder is about as high as he can go. The bastards, screw them I say. Engineering friends that went the lowest bidder government contract way, have nothing today, always moving and expected to work a hundred hours per week based on a 40 hour week salary. Screw them too.

I pushed most of my kids into the medical field, even the smallest most insignificant town needs a doctor, most are doing very well right now, almost wish I went into that myself. Wife was in medical accounting, took classes for a medical interpreter, doing good, but the government is taking a huge portion of her paycheck.

You can't win in this country, but I am not concerned, saved enough money to live on for the next ten years, when you could save. Could go to Iraq, that's where the money is.

Librarians should be pretty secure although there is always the danger of municipalities cutting the budget. Still, according to the NY Times, usage of the NY Public Library system has gone up something like 33% since October '07.

I am worried about what G is going to do when he gets here.... :( He is taking computer repair courses so I guess if worse comes to worse he can put signs up at the bus stops and at colleges for computer repair services.

True.

Many of IRAQ's infrastructure needs building. However, a few engineers have died in the safe zones. They signed on a contract for 3 years with a salary of 500k or even more. Not many engineers want to work in IRAQ at the moment. I was speculating of whether I should go or not because for a young kid like me, it's like a dream to get a salary that high making more than the Senior Engineers.

I should've studied MEDICINE since I have a higher aptitude towards that. Why I chose ENGINEERING was because I love to play VIDEO GAMES.
