This is great you posted this! I actually have a letter already typed up to him. I havent filed my K1 visa yet but ever since I decided to do the K1 I have been on this site and read the horror stories of the wait times and how awful some of the interviewers can be at the embassys I decided to write a letter for when my time came. But had no idea of where to send it. Im not waiting until I file in December to mail the letter. Im sending it in this weekend. Thanks for the info and was soooo happy to see that someone else had this in mind. Thanks again..

I came across President-elect Obama's page and I was thrilled to see how he thinks. I hope and pray he doesn't go back on his word and if we all send letters to him asking to follow through with what he has said, well, God willing he will help us all out. We need as many people as possible to write him so he can see there are a lot of us needing his help. If we can get everyone we know to do the same, he will be advised of this and take action. One letter will do nothing to help our loved ones be with us. But if we all come together then we can move mountains.

This is the information on how to contact President-elect Barack Obama. If anyone knows of a better way please post here so we can all start working at this. Together we can do anything and we can't afford to lose hope.

Step1. First, you need to have your letter or postcard to send Barack Obama (at this time packages are discouraged). It can be a handwritten note, typed or even printed on the computer.

Step2. Be direct in what you would like to say to President Elect Barack Obama. People who send letters are addressing their concerns and efforts in the United States while others are requesting a simple autograph.

Step3. Make sure you include your name and address on the note in case it gets separated from the envelope.

Step4. Place your papers inside an envelope and address the left hand corner with your full name and address. It needs to be clearly written to avoid delays.

It is amazing how I can get a vistor's visa for India in 5 days, but my husband has to wait for his for almost a year. This really sucks. Plus, we are doing the right thing and going through the legal process, while there are millions now in this country that did not.

Yes it is amazing isn't it how quickly we get visa's and other's have to wait such an outrageously long time. This just isn't right at all and I'm just furious about it. I also know exactly how you feel about doing the right thing and virtually being punished for it and other's can get away with breaking laws of a sovereign country and get away with it. But have faith this will change and we will prevail we just need to spread the word were ever we can. We must ask our friends and family to help us by writing to the President elect. If we don't do this no one will do it for us. Bless you and your loved one.

We wrote to Congressman Foster and Senator Obama to help to expedite our case, they both replied. The aide from the congressman's office was really efficient and helpful, so we didn't follow up with Obama's office. We did receive a second followup letter from Obama's office asking whether we still need their help.

I hope you can help us out and send another letter to President elect Obama for all of us that are in the process or heading into it. Awww now (((((VOF))))) be positive and I know it's not easy . No it wont take that long and the more of us that write the quicker it will be. We just need to get as many as possible to write him and get this ball rolling. So I'm sure this will help you and I out sooner than you think. I know what your saying and I'm against illegal immigration and amnesty. But he specifically mentioned the Embassy's and what they put us through. So I'm holding on to that at the moment and we will deal with the other as it comes. We have to have faith that letter's will for this moment help us out. We the ones that are doing it the right way. I have been told this wont help but I disagree completely. I think numbers matter and we are heard when we make them listen. If we don't try then we can't complain. Just a thought, I will hope until there is no hope in me. Thanks to all who have written and I hope you come back if you receive a response. I'll be checking back and will let you know what happens with my letter and families letters.
