So me and my wife separated around a year ago, she left me for her own reasons but the marriage was totally legit. I am just starting the divorce process now but today realised that my conditional green card runs out on 12/06/08 and i am freaking out as i don't know what to do. Have i left it too late?

I have ties in the community, i have a job and a leased car etc. after a dreadful marriage that lasted under a year we went our separate ways. I love my life here and do not want to go back to England but i don't know what steps to make next.

As far as i can tell i need to file divorce papers asap and then inform immigration of my situation. i feel like a complete fool for not checking on the dates of my green card as it was never a problem until i checked it all out today.

Does anyone have any advice on what to do? My green card is basically valid for another 2 weeks and i did not know. are there steps that i can take to ensure my residency here even though i am not officially divorced?

Please help me as i am stuck

Weird you were not aware you had to file to remove conditions within 90 days of GC expiration.

I'd make a Infopass with your local office and see what they have to say.

K1 denied, K3/K4, CR-1/CR-2, AOS, ROC, Adoption, US citizenship and dual citizenship

!! ALL PAU!
