I need some information please help

Last night i e-mailed The American Embassy In Pakistan on their Inquiry e-mail asking about sending my k visa packet i needed some info before sending it but insted of replying to my question i got this reply insted

""Please contact us after December 15, 2008, as our office is updating the processing of the K visas. Thus the applicants are being suggested NOT to submit documents at this time. Please check back with us after the above date."" can anyone confirm this and tell me i am really upset please confirm. I hope it was the wrong guy telling me wrong information

Which consulate? I heard all the consulates in Pakistan are no longer issuing visas and that the only embassy issuing any visas was in Islamabad. That is what my lawyer told me about 2 months ago.

The consulate in Islamabad I dont know where the e-mail goes but I e-mailed them on "pakivquery@state.gov" and got this reply

I'm sorry...my husband is actually in the Netherlands, so I'm not familiar with the Islamabad consulate. The only reason I knew that is because I was asking about bringing a different relative in the future.

Have you tried posting in the embassy/consular section? Or the Indian/Pakistani/South Asian area of the boards? Maybe someone with experience with that country can help you?

FYI, there is only one US Embassy in any given country and it is in that country's capital city. Islamabad is the Capital of Pakistan. So, when the OP said Embassy, you know it's Islamabad.

This is why it's so important to refer to Consulates as Consulates and Embassies as Embassies. Saves a lot of confusion and extra questions.
