Our case was also moved to California from Nebraska and got the 3rd touch today. I am guessing it is a because a letter that will be / has been sent to us infoming us our case has been moved to a local California center for processing.

Your guess has some merit to it, I too recieved my 3rd touch in as many days. But I also remember that I received 3 emails on Thursday telling me that my case had been transferred to California from Nebraska.

3/21/06 I-129F sent to NSC

6/1/06 Case transfered to California Office

6/2/06 Touched

6/9/06 Received 2nd letter from NSC telling me that my case as been transefered

It seems as though most of us touched have been from Nebraska. Who knows?

I think you guys are being touched because of the transfer from another center. I did a search of Noa2's after May 16 and noticed the very few that are there mostly had one thing in common.... They were older petitions that had RFE's ....so it seem to me that no additional Noa2 will come out because of IMBRA. My lawyer said there will be some sort of adendum or paperwork sent out (soon we hope) for us to sign asking about our criminal history or something. (to comply with the new IMBRA law) No one knows. I got so upset at this whole thing that I decided to try not to read anymore about it until someone knows what is going on. My lawyer told me he will send out the info as soon as he learns anything. I expect within two weeks:) i hope

Looks like you filed just a few weeks after me. I was told to sit tight about IMBRA, that the NVC will handle it without additional paperwork from me, BUT I can't help but wonder if I will need to do more and that was before the abrupt transfer of my case from the Nebraska to the California centers, (NSC no longer handling K-1s). I was touched at CSC the day after the K-1 transfer but I chaulked that up to the hand-off from Nebraska. The other thing I noticed was my approximate wait period statement from the government was missing on my case, as if they are now groping for new timelines. I'll update if I get any significant news.

Just so everyone doesnt get too excited. My NOA-1 with CA service center is dated 15 Mar 2006 and they have yet to get to that date yet. Last I heard was that there was some people from 6 Mar 2006 that have gotten NOA 2 but that is as far as they got prior to IMBRA taking hold.
