Hope you get an approval soon!

i really dont know whats with all this touch about , i am still waiting on NOA1

Can you tell me how you know when you've been "Touched"?

My fiance signed up for an online update but the last time it was updated was 18th March 2006, when they transferred our case from Texas to California.

2nd March 2006 - I-129F Sent

13th March 2006 - NOA1 & Cheque cashed

30th June 2006 - Received RFE re IMBRA

3rd July 2006 - Mailed RFE to CSC

4th July 2006 - Touched re RFE

5th July 2006 - Touched

18th July 2006 - Touched confirmed receipt for RFE. #######?! I know they received the RFE on 4th July!! Skanks!!!

17th August 2006 - NOA2 finally!!!

11th September 2006 - Package 3 sent to US Consulate (DS-230 part 1, DS-156, DS-156K)

8th October 2006 - Sent checklist to Consulate to confirm that all documents are available for interview

13th October 2006 - Medical (11:30am) - Friday 13th Aaaaaaaaaargh!!!

7th December 2006 - Interview at 10am

7th December 2006 - Consular requested "Proof of non-existence of birth certificate"

15th December 2006 - Courier picked up "Proof of non existence of birth certficate" - what I did? I contacted my lawyer in Vietnam and asked him to search for my NON-EXISTENCE birth certificate and had him write an affidavit of his finding. What a waste of time and money!!

22nd December 2006 - K1 Approved. Finally!

The date online will change when you sign in to your case. So if yours hasn't changed then you haven't been 'touched' per se. But I have heard other people say that their online dates sometimes were never changed but then are approved. Just the government, it is never 100% consistent.

Yes I have been touched to for the 3rd day in a row, and it's saturday! Do they even work on Saturday? I am so nervous about all this, I just wish I knew for certain if this being sent to California is a good thing. Also some sort of time frame for this IMBRA if that is why it is being sent to California. God Bless us and help shorten our time to be reunited with our loved ones.

Me too. Who knew they actually worked on Saturday!!!

I have a feeling that in a strange way being sent to CA is a good thing. Supposedly CA is going to eventually be THE I-129F service center - their specialty. This was in the works before IMBRA. And since they know they have screwed up majorly and are backlogged, this move could be a good thing. Now if they would just send out the damn questionnaire/form/whatever and give us a true idea of how long the IMBRA part is going to take, we could relax.

I was also touced today. I am going to keep looking at this as something postive. It would be nice to know how many of us who were sent to CA have had touches each day since the first emails announcing the move. I hope this is good news for everyone at CA, not just the ones who have been moved. I really want to see calidreamer80's case approved, she has been waiting a lot longer then most.
