Hello everyone

Today i was approved IR1 visa, and here is a short description of my interview, i will try to be specific as much as i can.

6:30 AM: Waiting in que

7:30 AM: Entered Mumbai Consulate (guyz dont take any kind of bag or anything unusual over there)

7:45 AM: Finger Prints taken

8:20:AM: Indian Officer called up for returning documents and took passport and enquired about my journeys to all the countries that i visited and my purpose of visit.

WAIT FOR MY CALL!!!!!!!

9:50 AM: American CO called up my name. Went in she asked me to raise my hand and swear. Then started to ask the following question which are mostly listed in some posting

WHO IS CALLING YOU

HOW OLD ARE YOU

WHAT IS UR WIFE B'DAY

UR DATE OF MARRIAGE

WHEN WAS SHE LAST HERE

HOW DID U 2 MEET

WHERE DOES SHE LIVE

WHAT DOES SHE DO

WHAT POSITION DOES SHE HOLD AT HER WORK

WHAT DOES HER FATHER DO

WHO ELSE IS THERE IN HER FAMILY

WHAT DO U DO FOR A LIVING

"SAW SOME PICTURES OF WEDDING ALBUM AND ASKED TO IDENTIFY SOME FAMILY MEMBERS"

I would suggest if u have ur paperwork well and u know ur wife and her family pretty good then be confident and see urself coming out of consulate happily APPROVED :dance::dance::thumbs:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
USCIS is unnecessary and a complete freaking waste of everybody's time. What did they do other than waste 7 months of our time and take money?-- because I now have to resubmit the exact same damn information(plus some) to NVC. Apparently there is no connection between USCIS and NVC so USCIS cant simply send our documents to NVC. I was happy to get approved by USCIS but now the process starts all over again only with more complications. Maybe someday I can meet these people in person and thank them face to face for f**ing up almost everything so far. Addresses incorrectly copied, email address repeatedly typed in wrong, names misspelled, ECT, ECT, ECT.
Hows about mandatory drug testing for all who are employed at NVC? All in favor?
Congratulations and good luck!
Couple of questions:
1) Is there a separate line for CR1 visa holders outside of the embassy or you have to stand in same line as visitor visa, student visa etc.?
2) How did they call you? Do they have token system or just announce your name on broadcast system?
3) You said not to take bags etc. Are even plastic bags not allowed? You need some kind of bag to carry so many docs and wedding album. Please advise.
Thanks
