Well Iam now confused and now I feel I will get RFE because when I recieved my K3 package the US Embassy wrote in the with underlined line " VACINATIONs are not required for people applying for this Visa "

Now some said they had to have thier vaccinations done but the doctor herself is teh one who said that to me she said to me " you are applying for k3 " I said Yes she said " Oh I think I readsome where that K3 doesn't need vaccinations" then she said show me the letter you got from the embassy I showed to her and she saw it too and then she said to make sure call the embassy which I did and t5he woman who replied me said to me " the doctor is teh one who decide if you will need it or not "... then when I went to recieve my medicals there was another doctor and then he asked to see me and asked why I didn't have the vacciations " I said I am a k3 Visa " he siad do you have the mebassy letter " i said no I never know i would need it again but I assured him Iam a k3 then he signed his name and wrote that above my medical exmainations sheet that " Vaccinations are not required for this visa "

so what now? did anyone applying for K3 has this before ? did you have to have your Vaccinations in your medical?? or is it Cairo Embassy that's different????

I found this on the USCIS website.

"K and V nonimmigrant (temporary) visa applicants. Individuals applying for a K nonimmigrant visa as the fiancee or the spouse of a U.S. citizen or for a V nonimmigrant visa as the spouse or child of a lawful permanent resident (LPR) (including those applying for V status in the United States) must undergo a medical exam, but are not required to comply with the vaccination requirements at that time. They will be required to comply with the vaccination requirements when they eventually apply for adjustment of status"

Hope that helps.

I'm not familer with the K-3, but I know with the K-1 vaccinations were not required for Cairo. Also, records are not kept for the immunizations in Egypt so it is rare for anyone to actually have their records. :) Once in the U.S they had to a titer with a blood draw to find out what you have been immunized for.

Ditto for what Amy said. Once my husband got here, we went to a civil surgeon (doctor certified by the immigration people here) and he had his shots over again. We received an envelope from that and sent it in with our greencard paperwork (AOS).
