Morning ladies. Happy Monday to you all.

Hey Jawi, how are you feeling today? I hope you are not in much pain today and hope for a speedy and uncomplicated revocery.

Hey sunray--how is Ray enjoying the cold weather?

1Luv--how is it across the border? Must be coooolllddddd!

When Mike came here fro the first time in late September, we had a cold spell and he was jubilant telling me how he loves the cold. He was wearing shorts and t-shirt outside while i was bundled up. Now comes the fall and winter and the man is bundled up in the house when i have the heat up to 72 degrees and he is sleeping in his hat..lol I just laughed at him.

Anyway i hope you al lhae a wonderful and productive day and here is a little joke for you to enjoy.

Hey Sus and IW and KK...just saw you down there!!!

The Washcloth

Ladies, this has to be read, laughed at and passed on. There is not a woman alive who won't crack up over this!

I was due for an appointment with the gynecologist later in the week.

Early one morning, I received a call from the doctor's office to tell

e that I had been rescheduled for that morning at 9:30 am. I had

only just packed everyone off to work and school, and it was already

around 8:45am. The trip to his office took about 35 minutes, so I

didn't have anytime to spare. As most women do, I like to take a

little extra effort over hygiene when making such visits, but this time

I wasn't going to be able to make the full effort. So, I rushed upstairs,

threw off my pajamas, wet the washcloth that was sitting next to the

sink, and gave myself a quick wash in that area to make sure I was

at least presentable. I threw the washcloth in the clothes basket,

donned some clothes, hopped in the car and raced to my

appointment. I was in the waiting room for only a few minutes when

I was called in. Knowing the procedure, as I'm sure you do, I hopped

up on the table, looked over at the other side of the room and

pretended that I was in Paris or some other place a million miles away.

I was a little surprised when the doctor said, 'My, we have made an

extra effort this morning, haven't we?'

I didn't respond.

After the appointment, I heaved a sigh of relief and went home. The

rest of the day was normal ... some shopping, cleaning, cooking.

After school when my 6-year-old daughter was playing, she called out

from the bathroom, 'Mommy, where's my washcloth?' I told her to get

another one from the cupboard. She replied, 'No, I need the one that

was here by the sink, it had all my glitter and sparkles saved inside it.'

Never going back to that doctor. Ever.

Lawny, your father is moving back to Jamaica?

All this talk of food this morning...is making me HUNGRY!!!!

Going to eat my grapefruit now.

Yes, KK, him and mommy. They were suppose to move back in 1999, but I (daddy's girl) started whining... They moved a majority of the things down a few years ago. I can't wait, so I can ship my son off in the summers.

Then you will have a good reason to go down to jamaica more frequently.

Sometimes I say that I would like to have a house in Jamaica...but I wonder how long I will stay before I'm ready to come back to the States.

Question to the thread: What's the longest vacation in Jamaica that you've had?

6 weeks...those were the days. I always have to be in Jamaica (I"m my grandmother's caretaker).

And more:

The day we were leaving it was only 55-60 degrees - my kids were the only 2 in the pool. Yup, we're northerners...

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Mawnin Peeps....

Happy Monday! I'm just getting to work because I was late and then ran into an accident.

TL, love the pics. I would love to be in Florida right about now.

Yesterday, Ray went on the deck to clean his sneakers and when he went to get the rags out of the bucket he pulled up a big piece of ice with them. He was like honey, honey get the camera. He was amazed....

Thanks for hanging out JALOVE, and Manya.... You know Ray enjoys hanging out. I hope we all are still meeting up on Wednesday. I'm trying to figure out how to cook (Turkey, mac & cheese, greens, string beans, yams, potoato salad, deviled eggs, stuffing and pork) before heading to the club, I need some help.

And Rum cake.

Nice to see you Sunny!! Glad thinks frozen stuff is amazing - wait till the time it pisses him off cuz he forget to bring something in before it froze - lol.

 ...Well, does STUFFING count? Daddy makes that, but he has to add a little curry and jerk seasoning (just a little).

:no: Lawns... :bonk::rofl:

Is anyone near/close an Air Jamaica office?

I am, what you need?

Is anyone near/close an Air Jamaica office?

I am sure there is one in Brooklyn - that would be Portland - maybe JGay?

These are the ones in the US:

New York

111 Livingston Street

Suite 1102

Brooklyn, NY 11201

Phone: 718-222-0175

Fax: 718-222-1867

Miami

8300 NW 33rd Street

Suite 440

Miami, FL 33122

Phone: 305-670-3222

Fax: 305-669-6634

Baltimore

8757 Georgia Avenue

Suite 460

Silver Spring, MD 20910

Phone: 301-589-0432

Fax: 301-589-2961

I wondering if anyone is close to them. I have that credit that can only be used by taking it to an office. If I get a ticket for January I'm thinking I could mail the voucher and a money order to someone to drop it off at the office for me.

Next question - has anyone taken the Air Tran from Penn Station to JFK?
