How is your honey holding up from the accident injuries Island? I hope that he is not in too much pain...of course the pain sometimes comes much much later.

He is doing okay. He is sore and each day has a different part aching, but I told him to expect that. I was in an accident when I was 17 and 10 years later started having problems with my neck.

He is more "bruised" inside I think. He was really shook up about having his son with him in the accident. He talked about putting him on his lap and burying his face and trying to use his body to protect Jr's from the glass and whatnot flying around while they were rolling. That part really scared him and shook him up, especially the "what if..." questions.

Oh my gosh...that sounds so scary. My prayers and thoughts are with you, him and Jr.

Thanks, Jawi. I just got off the phone with him and he said the pastor has been praying for him all day. He said that he told him he should've went to church to pray with the pastor before heading to the embassy because the demons were stopping him because someone must have been jealous of him and put a hex on him.

I was like uh okay Babe...how about next time you just plan ahead and get there the night before instead of trying to go at 3:00 am with a tired driver who was driving way too fast. :bonk:

Yes!! My grandmother always tells me I look like I haven't sleep in 2 weeks. I always look in the mirror saying "gosh do I look that bad???" But she says its cuz I work too much.

I didn't get a response on Friday, but the e-mail I sent wasn't really one to respond too I guess. At the time I sent it I still hadn't found him and had no idea so I just sent them one informing of the accident so they didn't put a big red X on him as a no show. I will send them one in the am requesting a new date. I'm thinking though I just may ask for one for January and then I can go. I would hate to have yet another set back if they blue slip him for my presence. Better to go on a planned trip and get a sale ticket then buy a ticket cuz they are telling me too.

Afternoon Yardies--wagwan?

Congrats Mrs P!! You have a timeline again.

She's going to JA but NOT hooking up with her man???

Girl their relationship is wierd to say the least. She filed when I did but he was denied for admitting to having smoked weed, so he was band for 3 years from the date of filing. She has been having second thoughts for a long time now. She went to see him in Sept spent a week and he was not as attentive as she felt like he should be!!! My husband is adament about not returning to Jamaica untill 2010 so we are just going to enjoy a long weekend with out stress or pressure. We have been friends forever so we get along well and we both like to travel. We have never been to Negril and she doe not want me to feel like a third wheel. The only trouble we will probaly get into is if we see the MIDGET  .

Well that makes sense. Negril is my new fav place in JA.

Thanks Island...my stomach was in knots when I put it in the mail!

Good luck, Mrs. P.

Hey...I want to buy some patties from Sams247...do they sell them by the case or is this price that I see ($1.65) per patty?

Mrs P;

There is a Golden Krust bakery that just opened up in Durham at 3600 North Duke Street. They have the best patties. Whenever I go the NYC I always buy 50 frozen ones and stock up my fridge. You should try them, they are really great.

Island, was anyone else hurt in the accident?

He said there was about 8 people who got hurt. There was about 13-15 on the bus. Thankfully though, no one was seriously hurt, which is amazing since they were speeding.

And more:

The day we were leaving it was only 55-60 degrees - my kids were the only 2 in the pool. Yup, we're northerners...
