Now that mi down catching up, Good Afternoon ladies! Just letting yall know we went back to the airport this morning, we were their for about an hour they just took the envelope didn't ask any questions and half hour later they brought his passport out with EAD stamp and all they said was he had to get married by 3/7/09.

So how long do we have to wait before we can apply for his SS?

Thank God that part is over. Someone correct me if I am wrong but I think you can apply for the SS ten days after your entry. Congratulations again.

On December 15, 2008, we ordered production of your new card. Please allow 30 days for your card to be mailed to you.

hey kimms! nothing much just working. Evans just trying to adjust his mindset to understanding that its not so easy to get a job here as he thought. Dem tief im bike the other day too! Dem john crow batty!! So I was so mad and he was mad sad and all kinds of other stuff. I told him so many times to lock the bike when he goes out.....he didnt they took it. In all of maybe 5 minutes. I'm like "we live in a big and bad city!" Act accordingly!! I tell yuh!! He was always so scared of me being in Kingston, and I'm like Kingston is the same as the town i grew up in! You just gotta have street smarts sometimes. So now he has no transportation to look for jobs and easily and to get out the house more. Thats a bday gift down the drain.

SS should automatically come if you filled out that request on your DS230. No real need to go to the SS office, unless you just want to.

thanks nells the flight was safe but i spent appr. 3hrs in customs taking care of the paperwork.this long wait caused us to miss our flight an did not get on another flight until 4:30pm our flight was schedule to land in chicago at 3:15pm. i got to chicago at 7:30pm and one of our bags didn't made it on the flight. we were told we will recieve the bag tomorrow. i am home now thawing out. i got here at 11pm to find a pleasant surprise. the house is spotless like the way i left it in february and hubby did some major repairs. he redo the bathroom and the windows were replaced. i was very surprised, now on the my other projects.

Wow sorry to hear u had trouble, but u finally made it home so just relax today and thaw out ok chat with you later. Oh and welcome to U.S.A my friend.

thanks nells. we finally got the piece of luggage only to find that it is completely destroyed. the bottom was torn out and they used baggage tape to keep it together. i had a little travel purse in the side of my bag and it's gone because the area is completely torn away. it must have fell out in the cargo space.

Thanks. I just bought a ticket on USair. I fly them to my brother's in SC and I had no problems other than my longs legs being really uncomfortable with my knees poking into the seat. Jetblue rocks for leg room.

I'm doing a mental packing to see if I can get all my stuff into my carryon so I don't have to pay the $15 fee and worry about them losing my luggage on the changeovers.

i wish i could only pack 1 bag, then my one bag i was checking in was over 50 pound, but they let me slide and i didnt wear half of the stuff i took.
