I'm off from the 25th and return on the 5th. This would normally be a time to head to Jamaica to enjoy the sun. :(

This is the type of break i had at my last job. Its what helped me go to JA that one time when I met Evan and got to know him. My job just announced that they are gonna be closed the day before and after Christmas and New Years Day. So I get a 5 day weekend 2 weeks in a row.:dance: I was already planning on not going to work those days anyway but at least everyone else is off too.

I'm off the same days!! I can't wait for Honeymoon Holiday time!! I still have 90 hours of vacation after this. I'm saving it for this summer when Dwayne can travel home and be off work...once he gets work that is.

I was looking out our office window from my friend's cubicle while my lunch was heating and saw this idiot driver incapable of parallel parking. Well, the driver managed to get into the spot but not before slamming into the front bumper of the Mercedes behind her. Fortunately, he was actually IN the car and got out and made her give up her insurance info. I went out with my # on a sticky note and told him if he needed a witness I saw what happened. I'm sick of people parking like azzholes and not thinking anything of it! I've had it happen to me so I figured I'd lend a hand if this guy needed it. There, I did my good deed for today!

That was nice of you Ells!!

Intimacy, like charity, begins at home. If we cannot be intimate with ourselves, we have no way to bring to intimacy with another person.

Intimacy with ourselves takes time. We need time for rest, time for walks, time for quiet, and time to tune into to ourselves. We cannot completely fill up our lives with activities and become intimate with ourselves. Nor can we just sit quietly indefinitely and become intimate with ourselves. We have to have the time and energy to be our lives and to do our live in order to establish and intimate relationship with ourselves.

Surprisingly, as we become intimate with ourselves, we discover our connection with others

Intimacy....In/to/me/see...

Hee hee hee! My goat is having a kid or maybe more this evening dung a yard! I was hoping she'd have them later but we weren't sure when they were going to come cause he didn't know when she got bred. I was hoping she'd have them in February when I go but at least I'll have a baby goat or two to play with! :dancing:

That's exciting, Ells, I love baby animals! They should be in the fiesty stage by the time you get there.

In speaking of vacation / holiday time - I want my mother's job. She has the option of summer hours - They cut her overall vacation accrual throughout the year by 1.5 days - In exchange, she works 8.5 hour days instead of 7.5 hour days between Memorial Day and Labor Day - 3 days a week! I would gladly give up 1.5 days of vacation throughout the year to have 4 day weekends all summer long!

Executive Order: Closing of Executive Departments and Agencies of the Federal Government on Friday, December 26, 2008

Me wan one job there........Congrats!! You guys all enjoy the super long weekend!

Of course as I type this my son is in the other room with me. Don't know too many employers that let you bring your kids to work with you. Now my daughter, she's a chatty cathy - she goes to my girlfriends.

Morning all. How is everyone doing today. It sure is quiet in here. Has anyone heard from Honeychild? I miss her. I thought she would have gotten over the little tiff she had with the thread and gotten back on. I wonder if she is ok. Anyway, I still not back to work, hopefully I will try and go back tomorrow. All my tests are negative, so whatever was going on in my abdomen has resolved on its own.

Today I am babysitting my friend's 4 yo twin boys while she goes to work a navy funeral as one of their officers.

It sure has been quiet in here lately. I guess everyone is busy doing their xmas shopping.

I hope everyone have a wonderful and productive day.

I've talked to her - she is doing good.

Glad to see you are feeling better. Mike make it back from PA okay?

Thanks. Mike is has been here since Tuesday and i am getting used to having him here. It is not an easy task at all.

Cute story. Congrats to you two! Although I wouldnt know how to answer the question "why does my husband love me". I can answer why I love him, but I wouldnt know if I was correct in knowing why he loves me...there could be lots of reasons yet his reasoning could be totally different from mine....anyway...I was just thinking about that question and it probably woulda stumped me when i was there and I woulda had to start bussing jokes talking bout "he love me cause he pose too!!"

I agree with you Marlita - I think I would be stumped by that question too - because my answer might be different than the one he would give -

Congrats, Jakeswife - sounds like you had an easy interview  Bit off all your nails for nothing, huh?
