That is too funny.....I keep asking Steve if he thinks he can handle me for that long. I just can't wait for the argument to happen in person!! He says he is not scared and that he can handle me for life. I love him! And yes this will be the longest I have ever stayed!

I am sharing this bit of information with some reservations, but please discuss this with your GYN if you wish to know more. This was a conversation I had with my GYN a long time ago, so I am only sharing it as informational.

I want to stop my period while I am on holiday

Question

Can anything be prescribed by my GP to stop my period while I am on holiday for one week?Answer

Indeed you can. This is a commonly asked question and your GP will be aware of what to do.

There are two easy ways of doing this and the choice is partly a personal one, partly depends on the patient's state of health and partly on how long you have before your holiday.

• One method is to start taking the oral contraceptive pill, provided there are no reasons why you should not take it. You need to start at least one cycle before the one you want to miss. At the end of the first pack, instead of stopping and having a period, you just carry on and stop when you get back from holiday. You don't need to complete the second pack.

• Another method which can be used up to a week or ten days before the period that you want to postpone is due (but the earlier the better) is to take a progestogen such as Norethisterone. This needs to be taken three times a day continuously until after you return from holiday, and can then be stopped. A period usually follows about 48 hours later. This method can be used if for medical or other reasons the contraceptive pill is not suitable.

Go along and see your GP well before your leave, and enjoy your holiday

i know about this ms rox. i did it a couple of times when i am going on vacation. i used to take oral contraceptive so whenever it the time for me to stop and wait for my period i just continued the other pack. my doc also said it was safe to do.

So Ken had his 1st snow on Saturday night. Of course we were going out. He stepped foot outside and turned right around when he saw it! He was like "Well dat plan lackhoff!!" I said "Why?" "Ooman is ow yuh expect us fuh guh hout inna dat? Yuh cyan't drive inna deh snow!" I turned to him and was like "Arright...well I guess I'm going by myself...cause if I let snow stop me from driving and planning my life...I would be a bloody hermit inna deh winter time!"

I got "Well, arright we'll go...but DRIVE SLOW!!" Ok, NOW he want to tell someone to DRIVE SLOW...when he was whipping round those corners in Fern Gully...there was no "DRIVE SLOW" there! ...MEN!!!!!

lol..aunt flo got me a couple of times.. trying to schedule trips in between times that i have my girls, available days off from work, pay dates.. I just forget sometimes LOL the first time i actually CRIED.. it started on the day i got there, so I knew it would be for the remainder of my 5 day trip. i felt like I was let him down, cuz frankly i would be okay w/ just the time together.

i feel your pain. i know most of us at one time have been through that.

YEP! Happened to me on both of my last 2 trips! At least it was the middle to end of each so we only had to wait a couple days. I tried taking the pill with no break to stop a period when I travelled another time and damn if my body refused to cooperate! Aunt Flo visited anyway!

I went to my OB/GYN and told them to take everything...make a pool for his kids with the uterus and jump rope with my tubes...use the ovaries for punching bags...I was through with them anyway. Wah-la! No more worries about Aunt Flo! I can wear white the entire trip...alll year long if I so desire. I love it!

nothing much girl.. i should have a court date in feb for the divorce we shall see what fireworks will fly.. he sent me a msg the other day tht it is a shame that we cant work on our marriage for the sake of our 2 daughters all of this while he got his new GF at the house for thanksgiving.. the boy is confused, but I am not and as much as I try to think about doing it for the kids, he has hurt me wayy to much during this separation.. I could never look at him the same way..

Umm why did I get to work this morning and another ex has sent me a long romantic email about he was thinking about me and he wishes me a very happy Christmas and he hopes I get everything I want for Christmas and he wishes he could UNWRAP me for Christmas!
