For some reason the mosquitos would bite me only. And I would have big bumbs on my legs and arms. No one bite him.

Same with me. If I am around NO ONE else gets bit. it like they smell me and thats all they want...everyone else is safe. I'm like that bug light that bugs are attracted to. if you have me around you're safe from getting bitten.

Marlita - if you don't mind me asking...where did you get married?

I got married on some private property on the cliffs in Negril....right next to 3 Dives Jerk. It was the property of this guy Evan ran into and it used to be this little old cliff side hideaway on the property. It was closed down for while, but the home was still there an occupied. So we paid them to use the property. It was a REALLY good deal!

Mosquitoes like us cause we're NEW MEAT! A flavor they aren't used to and tired of. LOL!

We went to the water slides in Negril and first off, my legs are WHITE cause I'm not into laying out and showing off my pudge. So I have about 50 bites on each leg and was floating on the lazy river thing with my legs hanging over the innertube. You should've seen this Jamaican lady STARING at me! It was so funny....I looked like pink polka dots on a white canvas and I couldn't tell if she was amazed at how white I was or just how many damn mosquito bites I had! If I had a camera I would've taken a picture of the look on her face! :lol:

haha!! I see people like this all the time there....it is quite gross looking cause they get really red. Do you not use any spray or lay in the sun or get in the ocean? Those things usually bring the swelling down and redness down fast. I get bad bites, but I have to be in JA weeks before I get to 50 bites cause i soak up way to much sun and use a repellant when I can.

LOL - My friend that I used to travel with all the time gets bad bites too - But she scratches them in her sleep to the point that she bruises herself - Then she ends up with what looks like hickeys, or handmarks all over her legs - You should see the looks she gets!

Mines look like hickeys too. Like purple red black color....very unattractive. I think it does something to my blood. but its only those JA mossies or the ones when i go camping....the local ones here bite me but dont leave scars.

Spend more time in the yard than at the beach and I don't lay in the sun really. I use bug spray but not as religiously as I should. Not until I have 100 bites anyway! :wacko: Problem was we didn't put the net up until after a couple nights and by then, it was too late! Next time, I'm going to take better care not to look like I have chicken pox! :blush:

It's funny too cause I RARELY get mosquito bites at home. Even when they're buzzing everywhere they pretty much leave me alone here. And definitely don't leave the kinda marks those JA ones do! Somehow the smaller mosquitoes seem to do more damage. :huh:

:ot: Why did my husband ask me if I could take the greyhound to Jamaica..would I? I couldn't get pass the fact that THE BUS CAN'T DRIVE OVER WATER!!!! :wacko: I kept saying...but the greyhound bus..can't reach Jamaica? He insisted that I answer. I just said...NO.

I stop feeling sorry for myself, called and cancel the ticket tried crying a bit when I was talking to the agent in hopes of not having to pay the change fee, didnt really work. but the good news is he has up until the 14th to travel on that special so its still cheaper even with the change fee than the current price. I also just check my email only to find this note:

This visa has already been issued and so he should be receiving his passport soon.

~8/27/09 = provided an updated vaccination record (hubby had to get another shot)

~9/08/09 = GC in Hand (360 days from filing k1)
