Hi Ells...every boss is stupid :)

Welcome back, MsNelly!

I agree about the medical care - for a cold, etc.... go sit and wait - DJ and I had this discussion many times when he has whined about having a cold - my response was always to go to the clinic -

For something major, sorry, I don't care what it costs - I am that way even here - years ago, back in my having an HMO day, I was having sinus problems - I ended up paying out of pocket to go to a dr. that I trusted.

Re: healthcare

It really isn't as free as they make it out to be on so many levels. I know that only certain services are free and all sorts of stipulations. A's grandma needed to go to the doc for an arthritis checkup and get some meds. She had to pay to see the doc cause they were a "specialist" and then pay for the labwork and the meds...nothing was free. Not sure if she was taken for a ride or not but she told us that "her doctor doesn't do free".

thats the thing she may have needed to go to the CLINIC..and wait, wait ,wait..and more wait

Yep thats what we determined as well. But she only wanted to go to her doc and who can blame her? I had to do the clinic thing a couple times in JA and it isn't fun plus that was when we still had to pay. I can't imagine how crowded it would be now. I can still see it now. Me there coughing out my lungs cause I got bronchitis sitting next to the girl who kept vomiting everywhere for 4+ hours...hell on earth :dead:

With you there, Yardie. They left me out in the waiting room for hours bleeding out of my ear, my SIL's nose bleeding all over the place cause it was broken, and Andre moaning in pain. The thing about the cost was it was something like $40US for all 3 of us to be seen. Cannot beat that with a stick!

There are certain things that I would not trust to a clinic or the free care - DJ is paying for his eye specialist - The clinic and the hospital told him he wouldn't see out of his eye again - The dr. has told him that he should have had a patch, and is hopeful for full recovery. In my opinion, for certain conditions, I would rather spend the money to get the best possible treatment I could - Especially something like DJ's eye = The outcome of that and his vision will affect the rest of his life.

Is it progressing any, Sus?

Were you in a car accident JG??

Nope a trainwreck.....ha ha.....SIL got into a fight with her baby daddy. My head ended up trying to protect her's from some punches.

Andre's was a sickle cell episode.
