Mi vibes gwaan easy cuz mi knoa miself. Nuff respect sis. What are you and E's plans for your first Christmas together? A wants me to come to Jamaica...but I can't. I don't leave my boys at Christmas...I can't afford gifts and plane tickets...nor can I travel with my current condition. So, looks like another year of sitting on an International call saying "Merry Christmas baby" LOL

Well..the mail man/womman attempted to deliver my Wii Fit yesterday. We missed them. So now I'm waiting on hubby to call and tell me it's been redelivered. :clock:

I was looking forward to geting my exercise on.

Come on sol i think you are taking it to an extreme. we r not one big happy family we are one big happy family who have disagreements but that's ok.

On this note, has anyone watched the movie "This Christmas" with Chris Brown and Colombus Short (some girls in there too but I only remember the fyne guys). It's really good!! It's about this family of 3 bros and 3 sis that come home to Mama's house for x-mas. The movie takes them through 2 days of trials and fights (sisters are out in the rain duking it out) and my fav part - Colombus Short married a white woman and shocked the heck out of his family!! Really good!!

Yes I have it was pretty good I love the baby oil party lol

I saw that last weekend - thought it was cute, I love Chris Brown! The baby oil party was a riot -

Jaws I did this for like 2 xmas and birthdays and new yrs..it is noo fun at all...

I know...I have been doing it for quite a while now. I was always able to schedule something for right after Christmas to celebrate his birthday and NYE...but I don't see it this year. :crying::crying:

So I called the 202 number and the person i got just repeated the info about we had our interview on the 21st yad, yad, yad, they are still working on our case, so I said my SO just called and they said the visa was issued, she said who said the visa was issued, i said he called this number and they said it. She was do they have his passport, I said yes, she said well that's good news, so the embassy will call when the visa is issued. I know the embassy do not call people, so not sure what she talking about. But atleast they are not saying its under AP.

i went to groom my locks yesterday and i foolishly request for it to be done tighter. lawd the only place i didn't try to sleep on was mi face.i turn till it look like i was dancing in mi sleep. :(

So for those who aren't Jamaican and didn't know patois, how long did it take before you could start to catch on to most of what you were hearing?

The other day I talked to his Grandma and it seemed like either she was speaking more clearly than I'd heard before or I just understand what she says better now. I try so hard to understand but when it gets going fast and furious, I might as well be listening to French! My honey has been speaking it to me because he wants me to start understanding and I think I'm doing better but there are times I have to tell him to say it so I can understand.

I swear though, one night on my first official trip to visit him, a full car load of us were coming back from the club and I'd had several rum punches and was feeling good. I don't remember the exact conversation, but I do remember that it seemed like I was really understanding what they were saying and it was hilarious....we were all rolling! Maybe being buzzed help me open my ears better! LOL!

Anyone else have any experiences understanding patois?
