Hi Ladies Its almost Friday

Why is it I DONT feel pregnant. I have no morning sickness, no food aversion, only thing is TIREDNESS ah kill me. I dont want to worry, but I am. Should I be worrying

Why? Every pregnancy is different. I wasn't sick with my kids.

Life's just a crazy ride on a run away train

You can't go back for what you've missed

So make it count, hold on tight find a way to make it right

You only get one trip

So make it good, make it last 'cause it all flies by so fast

You only get one trip

Hey 1luv - is your stepdaughter here yet? I can't remember when you said she was coming. If so, how are things going?

oh wow!

that is soon!!

how long did it take you to go thru that process?

how old is she?

The process took abt 6 months. She is 6 years old

wow! thats great!

did you have her written on the same petition as he is?

what was that process like? did they make you guys do a DNA test?

When I was sponsoring my hubby she was added but she did not come when he did. The process was striaght forward. And No he did not have to do a DNA test.

A reader of the Jamaica Cleaner is proposing that everyone looking to be married in Jamaica undergo DNA testing first.

The Editor, Sir:

Based on the ‘jacket’ situation in Jamaica, DNA testing may become a way of life. If we do not know who our fathers are we may end up marrying our cousins, brothers, sisters, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and even our fathers.

Under these circumstances I would not recommend anyone get married without both partners doing DNA tests to see if they are blood-related. This is one situation where the women can’t blame the men for. Ladies if you have only one sex partner every nine months then you won’t have to worry about who the daddy is.

I am, etc.,

DAN VASSE

According to Out-of-Wedlock Births by Mark Abrahamson,

When people suspect that a Jamaican child’s social and biological fathers are not the same, but the child is publicly presented as the offspring of the social father, the child is called a “jacket” [emphasis added] in local gossip. The imagery implied is that a jacket child is something a husband “wears” to protect his honor.

Wow....crazy article. I can't see the country being able to afford the testing and the forcing of the testing. They have bigger problems to worry about funding at this point. Interesting concept though!

1luv stop worrying for nothing. All pregnancies are different I have been pregnant 4 times and they have all been different. Be thankful you have no sickness etc. Sometimes it don't hit until the 2nd trimester sometimes you have it the whole time or only in 1st trimester. It is always different trust me.

Hey, Nelly. How was the trip?

why would the country afford the test instead of the parents involved? i would think the country would be making money from those test considering that it would be done at a cost to the parent.

Enforcement. And with free medical care, some of it would have to fall to the country.

Jah'love mi no blame u.

Sus,

Your story about your son brings me back to 2000 when I lost my daughter. I was 5 months pregnant got hit by a repeat drunk driver and my placenta severed and I nearly bled to death. I have NO tolerance for drunk drivers NONE! When people asked me what happened to my pregnancy, I told them I miscarried. It was too horrific to explain. The last thing I remember doing was telling people who pulled over to help was that I was pregnant. I don't even think he spent 3 months in jail. It's amazaing what an EXPENSIVE lawyer can do.

Lawny, that is why I don't talk about it much - My family really went through a lot in a short time - We lost my nephew at 3 months old about 2 years earlier - the comments that my sister and I both have gotten are unreal - when my sister got pregnant again, people were coming up to her and making comments about how nice, you decided to try for a healthy baby - #######????????????? I have had people who don't know make comments to me about my not wanting kids since I don't have any - I never said I didn't want kids to anyone - Trust me, when DJ gets here I will be doing everything I can to get pregnant ASAP - I just don't want to do it alone again, or I would be now -

And yes on the expensive lawyer - Money talks in the legal world. He plead it out - pissed me off to no end. His insurance has made offers to settle in huge amounts - My attitude is that I honestly don't care if I get a dime - But I want my day in court and to have him sit there and listen to how this changed my life.

Sus I know how it is with people's comments. I don't think people mean harm I just think a lot of times people just don't think about what they say. I even get on my kids sometimes about their mouth and I try to watch mine also. I had a lady ask me one time "what is wrong with your baby?" I know she didn't mean any harm but if I was a real sensitive person that could have been hurtful. I was like nothing is wrong with him he is beautiful isn't he? I have learned to look past a lot of ignorance and just pray for people because we all shall eat from the fruit of our mouth.

Opportunities are like sunrises - if you wait too long, you miss them.

it would be irresponsible for the government to consider DNA testing as a '' free medical care claim''
