Does anyone dance in the car when they are driving? Or sing out really loud? :alien:

I've been wanting to break out in a dance when Beyonce's Single Ladies song comes on in the morning.

You know I have a long commute.

haha, thats me. Love that song. People driving next to me think i'm crazy, but that song is like lighting a match under mi bum!

I know that for myself - when I was 21 and first went to a step show with my girlfriends - I was very uncomfortable at first - and some women were nasty to me - Why was I uncomfortable? Because there were thousands of people there and I stuck out like Casper the friendly ghost! It wasn't anything to do with being intimidated by the other women, etc... it had to do with feeling out of place - and women were nasty to me that I was there to "steal their men" = Please! I was there because my best friend's bf stepped, and they asked me to come - nothing more. After a while, I was comfortable - because my friends treated me just like they always had - I was the one who had felt different, not them -

Sus - my son LOVES step shows!! I'm always hoping to find one around here to take him. Only one I know of his the competition in April in NC.

Where, where?????Yuh coming to stay wid me???:dance:

We just might!! I couldn't find a hotel anywhere in NC or SC that had a vacancy last year.

Hey Everyone,

.

The internet I steal at home wasn't working for me today, so I took my laptop to the library to steal their internet. I have over 20pgs to catch up on, and its way too much to comment on, so i will just talk about myself.

Oh, Jgay, I hope everything went well with your interview.

BTM, so I called the 202# again and this time I got a lady, I like getting woman they are much nicer than the men. Anyway she was like your SO had an interview on the 21st did he go I was like yes, then she said he also have a daughter but we indicated on the form that she will be coming later. So she was like yeah they are doing additional review, so I ask her if she knew what they work looking for, because maybe I help them get that information. She said she didn't know, cause they are not the ones that do the review its the embassy. So my theory is they are holding up our petition because of the fact that my SO had a child during the time that we met. I knew something was wrong during the interview when the lady gave me that funny look. But if we were together and he cheated and had a child and i choose to forgive him, itsn't that my right? what's it to them? Just for the record we were only friends during the conception of the baby, we were together when she was born, but he and BM were over way before he even knew she was pregnant.

Anyway, I am thinking about going to JA, but the better part of my brain is talking me out of it, expecially since I do not have a job and the ticket prices are crazy. But, its sucks just sitting around waiting to see what happens!

Where'd you go to school KK?

Stepping is fascinating to me. After watching Stomp the Yard he informed me he wanted to go to Truth College so he could step.

I went to high school in Orlando. College in Washington DC. Howard University...and there were a lot of step shows going on there. I didn't step in college though.

Actually, you're better off because that's one less temptation to you when you're trying to be good on a diet! I *almost* wish I didn't like chocolate too!

Andre put our little tree up on Saturday while I was at work. The cat knocked it over that night. Sunday, he used packing tape and taped it to the top of the speaker box.

It is beautiful in it's little Charlie Brown sort of way.

Oh my!! I have heard of people tying or wiring it to the wall but tape is a new one.

And Wakey....Tim McGraw IS sexy!!

If he keeps his hat on!

 I say the same thing.

I think Sean Connory and Nicolas Cage; also Kenny Rogers

Yes and yes and used to - Kenny is starting to get the Michael Jackson too much plastic surgery freaky look about him. But he can still sing!!

well mi neva si di police issue yet...but me it's how sick ur gonna get if u go..all that BS...and everybody gets their throat jumped down on here..just respect the country is my thing

But you see Kimmy - the same BS annoys me - I hear it all the time when I say I am going to JA - Be careful, it's not safe, don't leave the resort, don't drink the water, they eat chicken feet,.... (oops, that one's true, lol)

You don't have to be Jamaican for these things to piss you off -

Yes this get me upset everytime i talk to one of my cousin i just had to set her str8 everytime i mention going to see H she have something bad to say about Jamaica

You have to understand people's avertion to Ja or other caribbean islands. It is what they hear on the news and from bad mouthed people who have one bad experience and used that to judge the whole island. Sometimes when USC travel some people act like because they are USC they can go to some other place "small island" and behave however and not get any repercussions. And when they get arrested or the islanders react a certain way, they are in shock. Ever watch "locked up abroad"??? That show is really revealing. People do and behave a certain way abroad than they would at home. Bad news travels faster that wild fire and even the 10 greatest things about the island is not enough to overlook the 1 bad thing that is reported on the news. Bad news is sensationalized and that is what catches most people's attention. If the island is being profiled for the great attributes, we change the channel because there is not sentationalism in that story!!!!
